In the process of developing the board game "GO Collect!!" I focused on accessibility, clarity and exceptional perception. I tried to make such a board game that would be understandable and interesting to people of any age. At the same time with the most simple and accessible rules, which can easily be explained in just a minute.
But the most important thing in this game is sensations. Only a wooden game, with volumetric game elements can give a completely unique and unrepeatable feelings. This is the volume, weight, stiffness of the elements. This is a very special texture of the tree. This is an inexpressible sensation from the touch to scorched figures on the elements and the playing field. This is a specific smell of wood, which is preserved even after many months, with helps to an unusual box.
As a box I used a completely new, empty, clean box for pizza. It is a box made of thick cardboard that tightly closes and preserves its original appearance to the maximum, and in addition to its unusual usage scenario, gives a sense of strangeness and uniqueness of the game at first sight. Even before the moment when you looked inside.
All illustrations, elements, the playing field and the logo were created by me personally in CorelDRAW. Then, using a laser engraver, the game was cut from 4 mm plywood. The pizza box was bought at a factory that produces cardboard packaging. The label is printed in the printing house, and also cut with laser cutting.
As a result, a board game was created, which gives an absolutely unique and unrepeatable experience. It is very simple and affordable for those who play for the first time. And, most importantly, interesting and gambling for people of any age – from the youngest to the oldest.
